How to Prepare for Advising

To make the most out of an advising meeting, students should:

• Schedule appointment with Department or College advisor;
• Review Degree Audit;
• Review Course Explorer and Undergraduate Academic Catalog to understand General Education and degree requirements;
• Develop a list of potential courses;
• Make a list of questions to ask academic advisor;
• Know where advising appointment is located;
• Do not meet with advisor in person if ill.
